Linezolid is a synthetic oxazolidinone antimicrobial drug. Linezolid is indicated for gram-positive infections and is approved for treating skin and skin structure infections, bacterial pneumonia, and vancomycin-resistant enterococcal (VRE) infections, including infections complicated by bacteremia.
